As an Account Executive in our company, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the relationship with our existing clients. You will act as a guide for our clients from the introduction to our products, analyzing their needs, signing the contract up to providing the after sales services.

Routine tasks

  • Meeting clients to discuss their needs,
  • Working with account planners to devise a campaign that meets the client's brief and budget,
  • Presenting campaign ideas and costings to clients,
  • Briefing the creative team who will produce the adverts,
  • Negotiating with clients, solving any problems and making sure deadlines are met,
  • Checking and reporting on the campaign's progress,
  • Keeping in contact with the client at all stages of the campaign,
  • Managing the account's budget and invoicing the client,
  • Making 'pitches' to win new business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Servicing Accounts
    • Manages assigned client accounts and projects so that the programs operate effectively, efficiently, on time and on budget,
    • Meets and corresponds with clients, representing project teams. Coordinate client communications and reporting systems. Run internal meetings and meetings with clients.
  • Organizing account and project work
    • Plans, prioritizes and shares work with senior consultants, marketing personnel or project teams, so that people are clear on who does what, and the results expected. Immediately alert Senior Consultant/Marketing Manager to workload and other problems,
    • Works in close partnership with other departments on integrated programs.
  • Client Relations
    • Builds and fosters an effective working relationship between clients and account or project teams, so that high quality service can be provided within set timescales by each member of the team, ensuring client confidence is and remains at the highest level,
    • Provides approved information on all planned activities to the client
  • Reporting/Administration
    • Maintains and manages all elements of client programs through effective deployment of marketing and technical personnel skills,
    • Reports to marketing manager on all accounts and projects to ensure he/she is kept fully informed of and involved in client programs and issues as required,
    • Prepares regular status reports to management on ongoing account management.
  • New Business Contribution
    • Plays an active research, marketing and promotional role in winning new business,
    • Works with marketing manager in the development of new business opportunities, by way of research, budgeting and resource allocation, and the preparation of final presentations and proposals to clients,
    • Prepares written briefs recommending specific actions relating to new business opportunities,
    • Coordinates approval by Board/Marketing Manager of all marketing activities to allocated prospective clients.
  • Contracts, Agreements, Budget and Cash flow
    • In association with Marketing Manager, ensures that all quotes, budgets and proposals are approved before submission,
    • In association with Marketing Manager, ensures Terms and Conditions are clear, fair and not disadvantageous to 1rstWAP or client,
    • Ensures agreements are duly signed, originals given to Marketing Secretary for filing and Finance Department is informed at all relevant stages of negotiation,
    • Ensures contracts are accurately developed and signed by client before commencement of programs,
    • Ensures budgets are agreed and approved by clients,
    • Ensures that Finance Department is able to invoice bills on time as per client agreement,
    • Ensures that costs incurred on behalf of clients are billed accurately and on time,
    • Where possible, ensures that *pre-bills* are issued to cover any significant expenditure against agreed client programs.
  • Ad-Hoc/Other Activity
    • Assists Marketing Manager and Board on ad hoc projects as directed.


  • S1 degree in Business Administration or Marketing or IT fields with 1 to 3 years relevant experience,
  • Skill in the use of personal computer and related software application,
  • Interested working with people,
  • Able to work without direct supervision,
  • Excellent communication skills, a friendly and confident manner.
